Patricia Valoy is an engineer, STEM advocate and writer. Her writing focuses on issues facing women of color in male dominated fields and on a variety of issues affecting the Latinx community including racism, immigration, cultural and religious pressures, and living at the intersection of two cultures. She serves as the STEM chairperson for the Women’s Information Network in New York. Valoy holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Columbia University.
