Diana Sierra is an industrial designer who focuses on empowering women. She is the CEO of Be Girl, which is a mission-driven design company that creates innovative, beautiful, and affordable products for womankind.
In addition to her work with Be Girl, Diana has worked as an industrial design consultant for companies such as Nike, Panasonic, and Energizer. She has worked in East Africa and South America on better designs for cookstoves, agro-processing machines, soil testing devices and women empowerment programs through business and design.
Diana holds a Master of Science degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Design from the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. She also teaches product innovation and design for sustainability for small businesses at the SENA in Medellín, Colombia, and collaborates with the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum on educational workshops for teens. She was born in Colombia.
