I was hired at SC4 in July of 1984. My name then was Geri Reed. Previously I had worked at the Belding Public Library and in the business office of Michigan State and Ferris State Universities.

My first job at SC4 was Accounts Receivable Coordinator in the Business Office.  A few months          later, I transferred to the Learning Resources Center and was a Periodicals Technician.  In 1985 I became a secretary to Patrick Bourke, Division Administrator, in the Fine Arts Building. He encouraged me to get an Associate in Arts degree, which I completed in 1987. I worked for Mr. Bourke for 10 years and then for the Dean of Instruction, Anita Gliniecki; and the Dean of Human Resources, Bob Bender.

My Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources from Concordia College was completed in 1995. I was an adjunct instructor in the Office Administration Department, 1996 - 1999.

I began work on a degree in counseling and worked additional hours in the SC4 Student Learning Center and Professional Counseling Center in Port Huron in 2000. I received my Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Central Michigan University. I worked in the Career & Counseling Services Center at SC4 as an adjunct student advisor, 2000 - 2005.

I was promoted to Staffing Manager, Human Resources in 2001, and a few years later to Human Resources Coordinator.

I married James Kustowski in 2005 and I retired from SC4 in 2010. It was a great experience to work with students, potential employees, community members, and excellent colleagues!
