Dr. Eddie Brown, Professor of Mathematics
(September 9, 1936 - April 11, 2017)
Dr. Brown received his Bachelor's degree from Jamestown College, Jamestown, N.D. in 1958; his Master's degree from the University of North Dakota in 1962, and his Doctorate in Mathematics from Oklahoma State University in 1970.
Dr. Brown taught secondary mathematics for four years before arriving at St. Clair County Community College in 1963. During his career, he held the position of Department Chair, Quiz Bowl Committee Chair, and worked with the scholarship selection committee. He received several distinguished faculty awards, and in 1991 Dr. Brown was presented with a certificate of recognition for his years of dedication and service to mathematics education. He ended his teaching career in 2000.
