PDC Meeting Minutes

Process for PD Workshops

From Jeanne / CAO Ethan, April 2024

Post-pandemic, Academic Services has been reviewing and updating established processes on an ongoing basis.

To support more faculty attending on-campus events, Academic Services is happy to provide budget support for snacks at Professional Development workshops for $50 per workshop (once a month). The PD Committee will need to independently arrange for these snacks and submit a receipt for reimbursement after the event.

Additionally, event RSVPs should now be sent directly to Jane. After each workshop, we ask that Jane send directly to Chrystal a final list of attendees with details of the PD session. ACS will then prepare the certificates for the participants.

Professional Development Workshops / Courses & Lateral Movement on the Salary Scale

Faculty can receive credit for attending online professional development events including those posted on Canvas (Ethan Flick, email to PDC April 6, 2021).

Receive written approval from CAO for panel discussions to count towards both PD and lateral move credit.

Please follow the guidelines distributed each academic year by Academic Services (Pauline Schwanitz) for lateral movement on the salary scale.
