Neil Degrasse Tyson is an American astrophysicist
Earned a PhD in astrophysics from Columbia University in 1991.
Since 1996, has served as Fredrick P. Rose Director of Hayden Planetarium and
Research Associate for Astrophysics Department at American Museum of Natural History since 2003.
Has served on number Presidential commissions, NASA Advisory Council,
Has published 14 books, numerous research publications, and has earned many awards, including the Public Welfare Medal from the National Academy of Sciences
Many of Tyson's popular works, such as television shows and podcasts, aim to bridge the gap between science and pop culture, to make scientific topics accessible to everyone
