Ceramics and Pottery Professional Associations

American Art Pottery Association
Since its establishment in 1983, the American Art Pottery Association has continued to bring people together to share their knowledge and interest in art pottery. Operating as a not for profit 501(c)6 business league, the AAPA and its membership enjoys various activities each year such as: annual convention; annual show, sale, and auction of Art Pottery; and the bi-monthly publication of the Journal of American Art Pottery Association (JAAPA).
Ceramic Arts Daily
CeramicArtsDaily.org is an online community serving active potters and ceramic artists worldwide, as well as those who are interested in finding out more about this craft. CeramicArtsDaily.org provides a wide array of tools for learning about and improving skills in the ceramic arts, and a place for artists to share ideas and perspectives about how their art and life interact to shape each other.
Fusion: The Ontario Clay and Glass Association
FUSION grew out of the Ontario Potters' Association, which was incorporated in 1975, and evolved into the Ontario Clay and Glass Association (1985). Historically, FUSION has focused on the promotion of hand-crafted clay and glass.
International Ceramic Artists Network
Originally established as Potters Council in 2001 as part of a grass-roots movement, ICAN today is a membership organization focused on serving the ceramic arts community. Made up of clay nerds like you and me from 33 countries (and growing!), ICAN provides a platform for on-going skill building and idea sharing through face-to-face workshops as well as video instruction. ICAN also offers a forum through which ceramic artists worldwide can promote themselves and network with other artists within a like-minded group.
Michigan Ceramic Art Association
Established in 1958 in southeastern Michigan as the Michigan Potters’ Association and in 2003 renamed Michigan Ceramic Art Association. We have grown to a statewide organization of over 300 members. Our membership includes studio artists, art educators, galleries, art organizations, potters guilds, students and collectors.
National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts
NCECA promotes and improves the ceramic arts through education, community-building, research and creative inspiration. NCECA offers programs, events and publications to support its membership of artists, students, individual and corporate patrons, gallery owners, museum curators and providers of ceramic arts-related products and services. As a dynamic, member-driven organization, NCECA is flexible in its program development, international in its perspective and responsive to the changing needs of its constituency.
