St. Clair County Community College is located on the Black River in downtown Port Huron, a suburban community of approximately 30,000 located an hour north of Detroit, Michigan. Our campus features a historic main building, a recently renovated field house, a fine arts theatre, and a natural science museum. Our students range in age from 16 year old high school students, to 75 year old returning students, and many are first generation college students.
Port Huron is located on an international border with Canada, with the Blue Water Bridges providing a gateway from the St. Clair River into Lake Huron. We belong to Michigan's "Thumb Region", and our residents take full advantage of the fresh water activities and beautiful views that our area offers.
