GEO 233 - World Regional Geography

Realm description

The vast East Asian geographic realm extends from the deserts of Central Asia to the tropical coasts of the South China Sea and from Japan to the Himalayan border with India. We identify five regions: China Proper, including North Korea; Xizang (Tibet) in the southwest; desert Xinjiang in the west; Mongolia in the north; and the Jakota Triangle (Ja pan, South Ko rea, and Ta iwan) in the east.
