Assignment for Prof. Luedtke's HIS 101 Winter 2021
Students need to write two different essays, each about a single film.
The films are grouped as
1A) Braveheart and Cleopatra
1B) Becket and A Man for All Seasons
2A) The King and 1492
2B) Merchant of Venice and Seventh Seal
If a student chooses a film from 1A, they will need to choose from 2B for their second film. If they choose from 1B, they will need to choose from 2A for their second.
How to find the films
Merchant of Venice and Seventh Seal are available in a streaming format through the SC4 library. Use your SC4 portal username and password to access them. Some of the other titles are available in DVD format at the St. Clair County Public Library. If you are a resident of the county, you can check out the DVDs though curbside delivery. If you are not a resident of St. Clair County, your local public library may have the title.
